These cute little boxes are perfect for the season..shiny bright, vivid in autumn color!
I will be at Pippi's Pens Shoppe, 146 W. Philadelphia St., York, PA this Friday, Nov. 15 from 5-9 pm. Come on by and see me!! I am having a door prize drawing of a hand painted ornament!
Full white the Bourbon lily blows,
And fairer haughty England's rose.
Nor shall unsung the symbol smile,
Green Ireland, of thy lovely isle.
In Scotland grows a warlike flower,
Too rough to bloom in lady's bower;
His crest, when high the soldier bears,
And spurs his courser on the spears.
O there it blossoms--there it blows
The thistle's grown aboon the rose.
I am off to Scotland for a week. A trip that has been in the works for months. I am hoping to be totally inspired by what I see, what I do, and who I meet there. It's the people part of my experiences in life that mean so much to me and probably influence my art the most.
So...I will soon be back at my painting table, surrounded by luscious colors. But until then, I thought I would close with one of many pithy Scottish sayings that seems so appropriate at the end of my summer painting hiatus ..'A misty morning may become a clear day'...
