The beauty of a sun-kissed island is inspiring to an artist. I happened upon an expatriot who opened a tiny studio on a small side street who paints what she can find while beachcombing. I was struck by her not only for her talent, but for her perserverence in an environment where art supplies are no where to be found. Undaunted, she creates. A lesson to any artist who is surrounded by a plethora of supplies.
